H.E. Dr. Mohamed Ould Amar, Director-General of ALECSO, participated remotely in the First Forum of Research Centers and Institutions affiliated with the International Network for the Study of Arab Societies (INASS), organized, on July 13, 2021, by the International Network for the Study of Arab Societies, jointly with ORSAM Center for Middle Eastern Studies and ALECSO.
In his statement at the opening session of the Forum, Dr. Ould Amar stressed that ALECSO is keen on further strengthening cooperation at the Arab, regional and international levels, in order to benefit from the accumulated experience and expertise of Arab and international intellectual and scientific centers. He commended the efforts made by partner institutions in the Forum to provide future-oriented visions for the development of Arab societies in all fields.
Dr. Ould Amar also commended the launch of the “INASS Digital Academy”, which will help to spread awareness and provide the needed knowledge and digital training in the Arab world, especially in this period marked by major challenges at all levels.
The Forum was attended by high-level experts representing research and scientific institutions and centers from Arab countries and beyond.
The Forum’s working sessions addressed various themes, including “Arab Research Institutions and knowledge production: Current reality and future prospects”; “Research institutions and opportunities; and “The future strategy of the International Network for the Study of Arab Societies”.
