H.E. Dr. Mohamed Ould Amar, Director-General of ALECSO, paid a working visit, on May 26, 2021, to the headquarters of the Mauritanian National Commission for Education, Science and Culture. He and the delegation accompanying him were received by H.E. Mr. Mohamed Ould Sidi Abdallah, Secretary-General of the Commission, who thanked the Director-General for this visit to the new headquarters of the Commission, and for the gift of one thousand computers offered by ALECSO to the Mauritanian Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research.
The Director-General thanked the National Commission for the warm welcome and generous hospitality and for its efforts to ensure the success of his visit to Mauritania. He was briefed on the National Commission’s activities and its needs in terms of expertise in ALECSO’s fields of competence. He then presented the Organization’s main projects for the future, indicating that ALECSO stands ready to cooperate with the National Commission and to strengthen partnership with relevant academic and educational institutions in Mauritania.
On his part, the Secretary-General of the National Commission expressed hope that this visit will be an opportunity for further consultations and discussions on ways to strengthen partnership between the two sides in the service of the Organization’s noble mission.
