The periodic meeting between ALECSO, ICESCO and the Arab Bureau of Education for the Gulf States (ABEGS) was held on April 22, 2021 to address ways of enhancing partnership and cooperation between the three organizations. The meeting was attended by H.E Dr. Mohamed Ould Amar, Director-General ALECSO, H.E. Dr. Salim M. Al Malik, Director-General of ICESCO, and H.E. Dr. Abdulrahman Al-Assimi , Director-General of ABEGS.
The meeting addressed the forward-looking vision to be implemented in the future, in which past experiences were taken into consideration. At the same time, it was underlined that the COVID-19 crisis has imposed a new reality that requires joining efforts and strengthening cooperation between the three organizations, while benefiting from the experiences and expertise acquired by each of them.
Among the main issues that will be the subject of cooperation in the near future are strategic foresight, promoting access to quality education post-COVID-19, especially distance education, and providing statistical publications and unifying their sources.
