H.E. Mr. Ahmed Aboul Gheit, Secretary-General of the League of Arab States, paid a visit, on April 6, 2021, to the headquarters of ALECSO, accompanied by H.E. Dr. Mohamed Salah Ben Aïssa, Deputy Secretary-General and President of the Arab League Center in Tunis. He was received by H.E. Dr. Mohamed Ould Amar, Director-General of ALECSO, in the presence of the directors of Arab organizations based in Tunisia and the directors of ALECSO’s technical departments.
Dr. Ould Amar welcomed the Organization’s guests, expressing his delight at this visit that has brought together the family of Arab organizations based in Tunisia under the aegis of the Arab League Secretary-General, which offers a renewed opportunity to further enhance joint Arab action.
On his part, Mr. Aboul Gheit expressed his pleasure to visit the headquarters of ALECSO and meet with the directors of Arab organizations in an atmosphere that strengthens the bonds of cooperation and coordination.
Mr. Aboul Gheit visited ALECSO’s library and the permanent exhibit, and expressed his appreciation of the Organization’s educational, scientific, intellectual and lexicographic publications, calling for the need to benefit from these valuable works to enrich university libraries.
The visit was attended by the Director-General of the Arab States Broadcasting Union, the Director-General of the Arab Atomic Energy Agency, the Secretary-General of the Arab Interior Ministers Council, and the Secretary-General of the Arab Information and Communication Technology Organization.
