On the occasion of the inauguration of the National Museum of Egyptian Civilization, the Arab League Educational, Cultural and Scientific Organization (ALECSO) is pleased to extend its warmest congratulations to the Arab Republic of Egypt for this landmark achievement that has caught the attention of the whole world, particularly those with interest in the heritage sector.
This museum provides an adequate framework for relevant scientific research as well as for conservation and restoration projects. It also offers a means of highlighting the Egyptian and Arab civilization, as part of boosting cultural tourism that supports the Sustainable Development Goals and safeguards the valuable heritage of the Egyptian people throughout history.
In this context, ALECSO calls on Arab countries and institutions to benefit from the Egyptian experience in the field of heritage, museums and archaeology, and reaffirms its readiness to continue cooperation with Egypt as part of partnership projects on archaeology and cultural heritage in Egypt and across the Arab World.
