Under the chairmanship of H.E. Dr. Mohamed Ould Amar, Director-General of the Arab League Educational, Cultural and Scientific Organization (ALECSO), and in cooperation with H.E. Dr. Moza bint Mohammad Al-Rabban, President of the Arab Scientific Community Organization (ArSCO), ALECSO (Department of Science and Scientific Research) and ArSCO organized, on March 31, 2021, a high-level webinar on “Participatory Science and its Application in the Arab Countries”.
This webinar is held as part of strengthening cooperation between ALECSO and ArSCO to advance educational systems, scientific research and related issues in the Arab world, promote communication and networking among Arab experts, scholars and researchers, and enhance partnerships with relevant Arab, regional and international institutions and organizations.
The webinar aims to develop a vision with regard to participatory science and identify its fields, which will help to design mechanisms to ensure its localization, use and dissemination in the Arab world.
Speakers at the webinar included high-level experts, scholars, ministers, international consultants, and researchers from Jordan, Tunisia, Iraq, Libya, Qatar, along with Arab diaspora experts from France.
