The Arab League Educational, Cultural and Scientific Organization (ALECSO) took part in the virtual meeting organized by the General-Secretariat of the League of Arab States (Social Affairs Sector) to discuss the “Arabic Language Month” initiative presented by the Arabic Language International Council and supported by organizations concerned with the promotion of the Arabic language.
The meeting discussed the initiative in terms of its content, goals, implementing parties, and implementation schedule.
ALECSO’s representative in the meeting expressed the Organization’s appreciation of this initiative, and indicated that ALECSO encourages all actions and initiatives designed to develop the Arabic language, enhance its status, and promote its use in all fields of life. He also stressed the need for the initiative to involve contests and competitions targeted at children and youth.
