 ALECSO Director-General receives Saudi Ambassador to Tunisia

 

 

H.E. Dr. Mohamed Ould Amar, Director-General of ALECSO, received, on March 29, 2021 at ALECSO headquarters, H.E. Dr. Abdulaziz bin Ali Al-Saqr, Ambassador of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia to the Republic of Tunisia.
The meeting was an opportunity to explore ways of further boosting and coordinating joint action between ALECSO and Saudi Arabia in all ALECSO’s fields of competence.
Dr. Ould Amar reviewed the main projects currently undertaken by the Organization, including, in particular, the Strategic Plan for the period 2023-2028, the updated Comprehensive Plan for Arab Culture, and the Masarat training initiative targeted at educational trainers in countries with special needs (Somalia, Comoros and Djibouti).
On his part, the Saudi Ambassador expressed his thanks and appreciation to the Director-General for the valuable role he plays in enhancing the work of the Organization in its fields of competence. He also commended the significant expertise offered by ALECSO to Member States, especially in times of pandemics and crises. He highlighted, in this regard, ALECSO’s initiatives to develop online educational platforms in response to the COVID-19 educational disruption in 2020.
The Saudi Ambassador also hailed ALECSO’s forward-looking role and its keenness to adopt new ways of thinking and embrace the culture of planning in its future work. He expressed hope that ALECSO would move forward in fulfilling its mission and provide the mechanisms that contribute to promoting inclusive and equitable quality education and achieving the Sustainable Development Agenda in all Arab countries.
