ALECSO Director-General receives Algeria’s Ambassador to Tunisia

 

H.E. Dr. Mohamed Ould Amar, Director-General of ALECSO, received, on March 10, 2021 at ALECSO headquarters, H.E. Mr. Azzouz Baal, Ambassador of the People’s Democratic Republic of Algeria to the Republic of Tunisia.

Dr. Ould Amar expressed his appreciation of this visit which offered a new opportunity to deepen consultation and coordination toward further enhancing joint action between Algeria and ALECSO in all its fields of competence.

The meeting was also an opportunity for Dr. Ould Amar to review some of the main projects ALECSO is currently working on, including, in particular, the Strategic Plan for the period 2023-2028, the updated Comprehensive Plan for Arab Culture, and the Masarat teacher-training initiative designed for countries with special needs (Somalia, Comoros and Djibouti).

On his part, the Algerian Ambassador thanked the Director-General for the warm welcome, and expressed his appreciation of the significant role he plays to enhance ALECSO’s work in the educational, cultural, scientific and ICT fields. He commended the expertise provided by the Organization to its member States, especially the e-learning initiatives it has launched in response to the COVID-19 education disruption crisis. He also hailed the forward-looking role undertaken by the Organization which seeks to embrace the culture of future-oriented planning in all its work.
