H.E. Dr. Mohamed Ould Amar, Director-General of ALECSO, and H.E. Dr. Issa Saleh Al-Hammadi, Director of the Sharjah-based Arabic Language Education Centre for the Gulf States, signed, on March 3, 2021, a cooperation agreement between the two parties.
The agreement is designed to help achieve common strategic goals, including, in particular, coordinating community institutions’ actions to promote the Arabic language; sharing scientific, intellectual and cultural publications (books, journals, brochures, electronic publications…); developing integrated plans and programs and proposing programs, projects and events (conferences, seminars and workshops) with a view to promoting the teaching/learning of the Arabic language, enhancing its status in the world, and raising awareness of its importance and its association with identity.
