The Arab League Educational, Cultural and Scientific Organization (ALECSO) took part in the 107th session of the Economic and Social Council. The meeting was held on February 4, 2021 via video conference, under the chairmanship of the Lebanese Republic. It was attended by representatives of Arab States, Arab organizations, and institutions of joint Arab action.
The ALECSO delegation was headed by H.E. Dr. Mohamed Ould Amar, Director-General of the Organization.
The meeting issued a number of resolutions pertaining to :
- The Arab free trade area;
- Supporting vulnerable groups in the Arab countries;
- Adoption of the report and recommendations of the special meeting of the Organizations’ Committee for Coordination and Follow-up, held remotely on January 3, 2021;
Adoption of the report and recommendations of the 50th meeting of the Higher Coordination Committee for Joint Arab Action, held remotely on January 13, 2021, under the chairmanship of H.E. Secretary General of the League of Arab States.
