ALECSO signs Cooperation Agreement with   Tunisian Childhood and Youth Cyber-Prevention Association

 

 

As part of its endeavor to meet the challenges facing the Arab world in the fields of thought and culture, enhance technological awareness among Arab children and youth in a constantly evolving world, and build their capacities to assimilate and make best and safe use of new digital technologies, ALECSO signed, on January 22, 2021, a Cooperation Agreement with the Tunisian Childhood and Youth Cyber-Prevention Association.

The agreement is designed to boost cooperation in establishing a responsible cyber education and culture, promoting the safe use of ICTs and virtual spaces, providing awareness and guidance for children and youth about the proper use of cyber technologies, and supporting relevant actors in the Arab world with the means and training programs needed in this regard. 

The two parties stressed, on this occasion, the importance of intensifying cooperation in the field of cyber-education, increasing cyber-prevention for Arab children and youth, promoting good cyber-citizenship, enhancing digital literacy, conducting joint surveys and studies, supporting each other’s initiatives, and organizing joint workshops, seminars, and training sessions.

The agreement was signed by Dr. Mohamed Jemni, Director of the ICT Department, on behalf of H.E. Dr. Mohamed Ould Amar, Director-General of ALECSO, and by Mr. Mohamed Ben Noomen, President of the Tunisian Childhood and Youth Cyber Prevention Association, in the presence of H.E. Dr. Mohamed Ould Amar.
