ALECSO signs Cooperation Agreement on e-Learning   with a number of Mauritanian universities

 

 

As part of the implementation of its e-learning initiative in response to COVID-19 educational disruption in the Arab countries, and keen on supporting and developing Arab educational systems and ensuring their continuity and sustainability, ALECSO, in partnership with Classera, signed cooperation and partnership agreements with a number of Mauritanian universities, namely : the University of Islamic Sciences, the Chinguitt Modern University, La Grande Mahdara Chinguitiya, and the Higher Institute for Islamic Studies and Research. These agreements are designed to harness technology to maintain the continuity of learning, by making it possible for students in these universities to access the Classera system and other advanced digital platforms.

A virtual meeting was held on January 21, 2021, in the presence of H.E. Dr. Mohamed Ould Amar, Director-General of ALECSO,  Dr. Mohamed Jemni, Director of the ICT Department and Coordinator of the Initiative, along with representatives from Classera and from Mauritanian universities, to launch the implementation of the initiative and set a schedule for all its phases, including the hosting of the electronic platform, the creation of student and teacher accounts, and the establishment of a training program for teachers and for technicians in charge of managing the e-learning platform.
