The Arab League Educational, Cultural and Scientific Organization and the Smart Learning Institute of the Beijing Normal University organized an international webinar on « Cooperation on Future Education between China and the Arab Region in the post COVID-19 Era ».
The webinar was attended by prominent experts from ALECSO, the Smart Learning Institute, the UNESCO Cairo Office, and the ITU Regional Center in Cairo, who shared ideas and views about the learning challenges posed by the COVID-19 crisis and the potential for cooperation to enhance education in the Arab region.
Dr. Mohamed Jemni, Director of the ICT Department, presented the initiatives undertaken by ALECSO in response to the COVID-19 crisis, in order to maintain the continuity of learning in the Arab region. He also highlighted the educational technology projects previously implemented as part of cooperation with the Smart Learning Institute.
On this occasion, Dr. Mohamed Jemni and Pr. Ronghuai Huang, Director of the Smart Learning Institute, announced that the Joint Smart Learning Laboratory between ALECSO and the Smart Learning Institute will be officially launched in 2021.
