The closing ceremony of the second edition of the Arab Mathematics Olympiad, held remotely, was concluded on December 26, 2020.
Opening statement were delivered by Dr. Khaled Abdel-Ghaffar, Egyptian Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research, Dr. Fethi Sellaouti, Tunisian Minister of Education, and Dr. Ali bin Abdul Khaleq Al-Qarni, Director-General of the Arab Bureau of Education for the Gulf States (ABEGS), read out on his behalf by Dr. Abdulsalam Al-Joufi, Advisor at ABEGS.
In his statement on this occasion, Dr. Mohamed Ould Amar, Director-General of ALECSO, extended his thanks to all partners involved in the holding of this special edition as well as to the Scientific Committee and to the member States. He took this opportunity to reaffirm ALECSO’s keenness to continue supporting such initiatives.
At the end of the ceremony, the Chairman of the Scientific Committee announced the results of the competition.
