The Arab League Educational, Cultural and Scientific Organization (ALECSO) took part in an international webinar held by ISESCO on “the contribution of Islamic art to the building of human civilization and the dissemination of peace values.”
This meeting was held in implementation of the resolution of the UNESCO General Conference in 2019 with regard to the proposal submitted by the Kingdom of Bahrain to proclaim an International Day of Islamic Art, in recognition of the efforts of the Bahrain Authority for Culture and Antiquities during the activities held in celebration of the “Muharraq : Capital of Islamic Culture for 2018” event.
The webinar was chaired by H.E. Dr. Salem bin Mohammed Al Malik, Director-General of ISESCO, and was attended by representatives of relevant regional and international organizations, and directors of Islamic Art Museums. ALECSO was represented in this meeting by Mr. Oussama El Habach.
