The Arab League Educational, Cultural and Scientific Organization (ALECSO) held, on October 7, 2020, the second (remote) coordination meeting for the ALECSO Olympiad to enhance Arab children’s science skills, jointly with the UAE Ministry of Education and the UAE National Commission for Education, Culture and Science.
The meeting was attended by representatives from ALECSO’s Department of Science and Scientific Research, the UAE Ministry of Education, the UAE National Commission for Education, Culture and Science, the Tunisian Ministry of Education, and members of the Olympiad Technical Committee from Jordan and Tunisia.
The meeting highlighted the significant efforts made by ALECSO to enhance scientific awareness among Arab children and youth from an early age. It also discussed the proposals presented by the United Arab Emirates, which hosts the second edition of the ALECSO Olympiad, and came out with a number of recommendations.
