ALECSO organizes Webinar in celebration of Arab Child Day

H.E. Dr. Mohamed Ould Amar, Director-General of ALECSO, opened a Webinar on “Protecting the Rights of Arab Children", organized in cooperation with the Tunisian National Commission for Education, Science and Culture and the Rehab Family and Child Association. The Webinar was held on October 2, 2020 with the participation of teachers, experts, and officials from governmental and non-governmental institutions concerned with the development and protection of children in the Arab countries.
In his keynote statement, Dr. Ould Amar stressed that securing a better future for our children, promoting their rights, and protecting them from all types of harm, require more intensive action, a more profound thinking, a stronger commitment, and a higher sense of responsibility at the individual, family, and community levels.
Dr. Ould Amar called for further institutionalizing the protection of the rights of our children at the legislative, educational, cultural, economic, health and social levels, and for further investing in children’s development, which means investing in the human being, the engine and ultimate goal of all development processes.
Dr. Ould Amar indicated that ALECSO stands fully ready to cooperate and build partnerships with official bodies and institutions and with civil society organizations that defend the rights of children and work to enhance their conditions in all Arab countries.
