H.E. Dr. Mohamed Salah Ben Aissa, Deputy Secretary-General, President of the Arab League Center in Tunis, paid, on September 1, 2020, a courtesy visit to H.E. Dr. Mohamed Ould Amar, Director-General of ALECSO.
Dr. Ould Amar congratulated Dr. Ben Aissa on his appointment as Deputy Secretary-General, President of the Arab League Center in Tunis, wishing him all success in his mandate. He stressed that ALECSO stands ready to cooperate with the Arab League Center in implementing joint activities that contribute to promoting joint Arab action and meeting the Arab peoples’ aspirations for a better and prosperous future. He took this opportunity to present some of ALECSO’s main projects for the future, especially the Plan of Action (2023-2028), the Comprehensive Plan for Arab Culture, and the Arab Decade for Cultural Rights (2017-2028), along with the intellectual and scientific seminars that will be organized remotely.
On his part, Dr. Ben Aissa thanked the Director-General for the warm welcome extended to him, and expressed his delight to have this opportunity to be acquainted with ALECSO’s mission, goals and programs in the educational, cultural and scientific fields. He appreciated ALECSO’s valuable achievements over the past five decades, and expressed his willingness to increase consultations with a view to further promoting joint Arab action.
