H.E Dr. Mohamed Ould Amar, Director-General of the Arab League Educational, Cultural and Scientific Organization (ALECSO), took part, on August 13, 2020, in a virtual meeting of the Higher Coordination Committee for Joint Arab Action.
The meeting was chaired by H.E. Dr. Kamal Hassan Ali, Assistant Secretary-General, Head of Economic Affairs at the League of Arab States, and was devoted to supporting Lebanon in the face of its ordeal, following the Beirut Port explosion.
The meeting was attended by representatives of Arab organizations and federations falling under the League of Arab States. ALECSO, along with other participants, put forward practical proposals and initiatives that will subsequently be coordinated with the General-Secretariat of the League of Arab States.
