The Arab League Educational, Cultural and Scientific Organization (ALECSO) held, on August 6, 2020, a virtual meeting with the School Health Department at the Ministry of Health of the Republic of Tunisia.
The meeting, which was chaired by H.E. Dr. Mohamed Ould Amar, Director-General of ALECSO, reviewed the measures taken by the School health Department, during the current school year, in response to the COVID-19 crisis, and the preparations under way for the next school and academic year.
The meeting was also an opportunity to address the means for promoting cooperation between ALECSO and the School Health Department, especially in terms of conducting awareness campaigns in schools and universities, holding meetings for representatives of School Health Departments in Arab States, and developing a COVID-19 prevention handbook to be distributed to students across the Arab World.
